The Login Manager feature is designed for operations where many employees will be using one device at a workstation to record their tasks. Instead of using a full username and password to log in and out each time a user wants to record a task being completed, a supervisor will use a generic login to the platform. Then each employee can use a barcode or six digit PIN number to access the platform fully. The employee will record their necessary tasks and then log out.
The benefits to this approach are two fold: a reduction in the amount of time spent logging in and out of the platform by each user as well as reducing the amount of devices needed to be on-hand by having a shared, fixed workstation.
Setting up the Login Manager
Step 1: Create your user. We often recommend to use a fake email address like firstname.lastname@example.org or something similar so ever other user can retain their direct login tied to their own email address. Contact your Artemis rep to set up this user.
Step 2: Assign existing users a barcode or six-digit PIN number that they'll use to login to Artemis. To do this, go to Settings > Users and click Add Barcode to each user. From this menu, you'll also be able to print the barcodes you generate.
Logging in using the Login Manager
Step 1: Login to the mobile app using your Login Manager credentials created in Step 1.
Step 2: Select either the Scan Barcode or Enter PIN and use the corresponding credentials to login to the platform. Once logged in, they will assume the user role that is defined on their user record. Those roles are outlined here.
Step 3: Complete the necessary tasks required.
Step 4: When done, select the menu option in the upper right hand corner and click the red Log Out button. The platform is now ready for the next user.
