You can now create templates that can be started and finished all at once. These are perfect for allowing your team to quickly add materials inventory, create packed lots of your own production, or ship stock out. Batches created from these templates will be closed upon completion of the start task, and will not require a Finish or Harvest task at the end.
To create a One-Step Template:
Step 1: From the Planning page, on the Templates tab, click on “+ Add Template.”
Step 2: Select or fill out the Stage, Variety, Name, and Seeding Unit fields.
Step 3: Select the checkbox option “One-step Template” and then click on the "Create" button.
Step 4: A task edit modal will open up on the righthand side of the page. Select or fill out the Quantity, Batch Unit, Category, Zone, and any other relevant fields as you would on the start task of a multi-step template's start task.
Step 5: Set your inputs (in the case of Packing or Shipping stage templates) and your outputs (in the case of Materials or Packing stage templates) on this single task. In the case of a Packing template please make sure to set your inputs and outputs proportionally to one another. For example, if one box of 6 clamshells is packed at a time the inputs would be what material and growth inventory is required for that amount of clamshells and the outputs would be 6 packed clamshells (or one box of 6 clamshells, depending on how you track your packed inventory).
Step 6: Click Save.
Note that for batches started from a one-step template in a stage that both consumes inputs and produces outputs (e.g. Packing) the platform will automatically adjust the inputs proportionally to the outputs. If on the template the inputs have been set to draw down 1lb of cut basil and 6 clamshells and the outputs have been set to produce 1 box of 6 clamshells of basil, and on a batch start those outputs are upped to 10 boxes of 6 clamshells of basil, the platform will automatically adjust the input amounts to 10lbs of cut basil and 60 clamshells.
